vw up sINGLE sTAGE correction 1 YEAR CERAMIC COATING in Dartmouth
One of several jobs completed in Dartmouth this VW Up had seen lots of Devon hedges! Budget discussed the customer wanted a big transformation without looking for a flawless finish due to the role of the vehicle. From the dull scratched finish to a big improvement of value we certainly delivered what the customer was after!
before
Before the polishing work began the vehicle underwent a full safe wash, decontamination to remove any contamination, such a tar spots or iron particles as these can be harmful during the polishing process, Contamination was removed with a clay bar. Once the paint surface was prepared a test section was completed to find the best pad/compound combination for the hardness of the paintwork & depth of the defects. Around 75% of the defects were removed leaving a deep glossy finish across all the exterior painted surfaces.
after
Swirls, Hedgerow removed & colour restored with a 1yr Ceramic coating applied it now will be easier to maintain & looks very respectable for the age of the vehicle.
Value vs Cost
This vehicle by no means is a show stopper but after years of daily use in Devon lanes it now looks like a respectable example. If the customer decides to sell the vehicle im sure it will now sell for a increased value not to mention giving off a great first impression compared to the previous dull heavily scratched version!
