aFTERCARE TIPS & TRICKS
Aftercare of a freshly detailed vehicle is important whether its has a wax or ceramic coating protection, these simple steps will help avoid unessary abrasion damage or chemical damage.
Preparation
Preparation is key, first of all walk around the vehicle accessing what debris is on the vehicle. If the vehicle is heavily soiled on the lowers with clumps of mudd, the first process would be jet wash the loose debris away not doing this will waste product & increase the risk of abrasive damage.
Tip: Make sure tap water does not dry on the vehicle during this process as it can cause water etching.
Pre-wash Stage
Now you have assessed the condition you can now start the pre-wash stage this is the stage where no physical contact is made with the vehicle. first of all determine a few factors if you are washing the vehicle in direct sunlight (we do not advise for beginners), or if the vehicle paintwork is cool. If the conditions are cool proceed by spraying a dedicated none acidic wheel cleaner on the wheels. As soon as this is complete then cover the whole body of the vehicle & wheels with a dedicated snow foam using your snow foam lance on your jet wash, applying this over the wheels allows for a longer dwell time of the wheel chemicals & limits the risk of these chemicals drying.
Tip: If the conditions are warm we suggest cleaning the wheels first, so when pre-wash, contact wash & drying can be completed without tap water drying on paintwork.
